ALPARGATAS ENYOYADAS (ESPADRILLES IN YO-YOS)

En España los zapatos tradicionales para el verano son las alpargatas y como cada año yo he intentado tener un par porque son realmente comodas. Como siempre olvido hacer la foto del antes anticipo mis disculpas por solo tener una alpargata en la foto del antes. Tuve que hacer esta transformación porque cuando compré las alpargatas no me fijé que una venía sin coser en el lateral, entonces hice un par de yo-yos y les di la forma de flor, luego les puse en la mitad de cada una, una cuenta de color blanco para hacer el centro de la flor y creo que quedaron bastante elegantes. Estos yo-yos  son muy fáciles, rápidos, decorativos y divertidos de hacer. Hace algún tiempo atrás hice un bolso para mi ex nueva compañera de trabajo (una historia larga y aburrida de contar) decorado con estos yoyitos, además se puede usar esta técnica para hacer un montón de diferentes y decorativas cosas. In Spain, the most traditional shoes in summer are the espadrilles, cloth sandals that originated in the Pyrenees, and every year I try to get a pair because they’re really comfortable.  As always I forgot to take the picture of them before turning them into another nice thing, so please accept my apologies because I have only attached one picture after changing the espadrilles. I had to do it because when I bought these espadrilles, I didn’t see that one of the sides wasn’t sewn and I made a pair of yo-yo flowers shaped for each one. Then I sewed a bead in the middle of each flower, to look like the centre of the real flowers. I think it makes them look really elegant. These yo-yos are very easy, quickly done, decorative and fun to do. As well as that, you can use this technique for making a lot of different and decorative things. Some time ago I made a bag for a work partner, decorated with some of these yo-yos.
